We use the visual arts as a strengths-located tool to build social connection, identity and wellbeing.Werecognisethe need for Pacific people to feel welcome and comfortable in the programmes we offer. We want to improve our relationships and engagement with Pacific people and communities. Are you an active networker and seeking an opportunity to work within the creative wellbeing sector? We are seeking for a dynamic person who understands the connection between culture, identity and creative practice to strengthen wellbeing. You'll have strong connections with Pacific communities in Christchurch. With a passion for the arts and cultures of Te Moananui a Kiwa, you'll bringan interest in and expertise of Pacific arts. You'll have your own visual arts practice, andpractice inspiring others as an arts educator. You'll have an consciousness of the impact of trauma and mental distress and the confidence to support others to explore their creative world, both in groups and independently. This is a new function, funded by Manat? Taonga, Ministry for Culture and Heritage, and is offered as afixed term employment contract, of 15 hours a week, for three years.
