Installation TechnicianLocation ChristchurchCanterbury Job type Full Time Salary 27 to 27 Category Engineering > Industrial » Fast & stable business growth » A great team-working environment » Work vehicle / cell phone & tablet and supply all tools The main responsibilities of the position are: » Installation of our modular ramp system and constructing timber platforms at clients' homes. » Liaising with clients over the phone to organise ETA's and delivery routes. » Loading of work vehicle with all products, tools, and accessories from our Feilding workshop. » Driving our vehicles to a safe standard. » Maintaining a high standard of workmanship in all duties. » You will be required to assist with site measures and preparing plans for quoting purposes. Training will be provided for all aspects of the job. We will provide you with a work vehicle, a cell phone / tablet and supply all tools / equipment required to perform the job with efficiency. Each installation can take up to 5-6 hours and can be based anywhere in the south island. Generally, you will be working sole charge and installing the assembly on your own. The job will require overnight travel approx. 2-3 nights per week, with accommodation and food allowances. Our Installation Technicians are our prized resource for building strong relationships and delivering outstanding results for our clients. We require someone with a tidy presentation and excellent communication skills. Our installers build confidence with all clients, with the goal to exceed expectations. Building experience and power tool capabilities are essential. We use battery tools primarily, so proficiency in the use of Angle Grinders, Circular and drop Saws, Drills and Nail Guns is a must, as level timber platforms must be constructed where our ramps can't fit, like in patios and porch spaces etc. A clean, full NZ driving license is essential. All servicing and maintenance of the work vehicle is the responsibility of the installation Technician. You must show an ability to problem solve, be flexible and comfortable working alone or with a team. We are keen to hear from anyone looking for a positive career change in the community.
