With local growth in both support and clinical intervention services, Pathways Wairarapa have a great opportunity for a passionate and dedicated senior medical agent with a special interest in Addiction. Step outside the traditional model of Addiction service provision and provide clinical leadership abilities and medical support to this high quality, flexible and community responsive treatment service, whilst enjoying the lifestyle this rural/semi-rural locality brings. We are also keen for an Addiction senior medical agent to fill an opening within our national clinical leadership abilities team alongside our Clinical Director and CEO. There are opportunities to use your creativity and leadership abilities to progress service development, service planning, and quality improvement initiatives. Teaching and supervision of clinical staff, involvement in clinical leadership abilitiess and leading the multidisciplinary team are core functions for this function. We strive to have a strong focus upon a developed cultural consciousness to support a responsiveness to mainstream service needs and to Tangata Whenua. You will be working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, 42.5hours per week and located in Masterton. There will be some on call obligations as Lead Clinician for both OST and AOD services within the Wairarapa, but also to support the mental health services within the DHB. These are still being negotiated but we anticipate a roster that is 1:4. Pathways/REAL Pathways/REAL is one of the largest national NGO providers of Mental Health and Addiction services in New Zealand, and the only NGO to have both AOD and Opioid Substitution Treatment services within New Zealand. We serve a population of approximately 45,000 locally and are a strong contributor to the governance of services within the 3DHB (Wellington, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa). We have a range of services that work collaboratively with other community providers and the local DHB services, that include: •AOD counselling and case management •OST programme management •?REAL' Youth AOD service •Social detox residential support and mental health planned respite facility •Mental Health Housing and Recovery residential programme •Mental Health support community mobile service If you are a senior medical agent who is passionate about providing a high standard of care and clinical leadership abilities, have a strong peer focus and would enjoy the challenge of working within a diverse community with growing needs and with an NGO determined to provide the community with the best care possible, we would love to hear from you. We have a good relationship with the local DHB and the leadership abilities from within the 3DHB Addiction services, and there is a strong collegial support network with peer review groups and generous continuing medical education (CME).
