We are seeking for an Event Coordinator known for their attention to detail and capability to coordinate the delivery of many varied events for Toitoi, you will be an important part of the Toitoi - Hawke's Bay Arts & Events Centre team.this function is part of the Community Wellbeing and Services Group. The Group includes Toitoi Hawke's Bay Arts & Events Centre, Libraries, Community Centres, Aquatics Hastings, Community Development & Hastings City Art Gallery.
The purpose of the Event Coordinator function is to support the Event Manager to ensure consistent high-level service delivery. This position will work closely with the Event Manager to drive the delivery of events to our clients and ensure excellence in customer service.
This position demands a high standard in communication, multi-tasking, empathy and customer service expertise together with related administration.
The prosperous candidate will have:
   » Arts/Events/Management degree, diploma, or at least relative three years' practice in a performing arts venue or events coordinator function.
   » Hospitality qualifications or equivalent practice working in a performing arts venue or conference facility
   » knowledge of venue booking systems and procedures, desirable to have practice working with CRM (Ungerboeck).
   » knowledge of performing arts and/or events coordinationand/or practice in the conference and incentives Industry.
   » Knowledge in food and beverage management.
   » practice managing a large casual/volunteer team with HR responsibilities.
   » Demonstrated capability to operate with a high degree of flexibility in an environment which can have periods of demanding workloads and time constraints.
   » Well-developed written and oral communication expertise.
   » Proven customer focused approach when dealing with all stakeholders.
   » Proven capability to plan, organise, and set objectives and priorities.
