A newly acquired, but not new business, has a great new opportunity for someone who wants to join and grow with a business that has great values and a big future. This kitchen/cabinetry business is a thriving down to earth space with very capable and enjoyable personalities around you. The office space is open planned and relaxed, with the expectation that the recruitment of a new fresh face in this space will continue to add value to the team. With growth over the long term, there will be plenty on offer for you here.
Your function will be essentially the glue in the business, someone who can relay information to the right people, and ensure that the administrative aspects of the projects are loaded into the system, and running smoothly. You will be responsible for tender document drafting and following up and reporting on tenders, as well as all additional administrative tasks/general smooth running of the office space – this will at times include a visit to suppliers, or a trip down the road to collect extra drinks for the office fridge, so a flexibility to do what needs to be done, is essential. If you’re someone who really pays attention, takes note of things that need to be done without being asked, this is the person we are after. You’ll need sound MS suite, and be computer savvy and efficient.
This is a function best suited to someone looking for their second/third job – with the expectation that you’re a sharp learner, you have a good eye for detail, and you’re perhaps looking for a function you can grow with, as the organisation develops. A very savvy junior/intermediate PA type person would also be considered, if you know yourself to be a quick learner who doesn’t miss a beat.
General tasks will be:
• Managing tender documentation and follow up
• Managing the Job Requests and delegating these to a spreadsheet
• Contacting/outsourcing over flow materials
• Liaising closely with the GM on where jobs are currently progressing
• Picking up materials when needed (full licence required)
• Managing the fleet of 10 work vehicles and their licencing and maintenance bookings
• General ad lib office related admin to the wider team, as required
• Keeping the drinks and treats supplies ordered and well stoked
• Some scheduling around site meetings and some diary management at times

• Excellent written and oral communication
• Professionally presented
• Capable and reliable attitude
• Intermediate MS Suite – Excel/word
• Full drivers licence
