Regional Housing Advisor - Canterbury Region »Permanent, Full Time position »located in Christchurch CBD The Regional Housing Advisor function is an exciting blend of advisory, analytics, relationship and project management. Contributing to overall business performance in a significant way, you will be responsible for supporting national housing strategies at a local level and responding to the region's housing demands. The function will forge and manage relationships with government, community agencies and housing providers across Canterbury to achieve key goals and results. You will develop, track and monitor the work programme, providing feedback and reporting as required. this function has a strong link with Service Delivery Housing Services team, collaborating on housing activities, national housing initiatives, housing reporting and the development of national strategies. To succeed in this function, you will bring with you: » Advisory practice in the Public Sector. » Proven decision-making practice and leadership abilities in co-ordinating and integrating projects. » An knowledge of the strategic issues facing MSD and the Government. » Analytics practice / background. » Proven practice researching, investigating and resolving complex issues. » Outstanding communication expertise, both written and verbal and the capability to exercise sound judgement and political sensitivity. » Knowledge of the Canterbury Housing Market is highly advantageous.
