In conjunction with the Mangere – Ot?huhuLocal Board, We are seeking for an exceptional Economic Broker to be part of our team. In this critical and influential function, you will champion businesses in the Mangere-Ot?huhu Area and facilitate them to identify and take advantage of economic opportunities – to grow local prosperity and employment. You will make the local business community aware of the support that is available from local / central government and others whilst facilitating the development and delivery of local improvement projects with an economic development focus from scoping, right through to delivery, You will develop and maintain collaborative relationships/strategic partnerships with colleagues, elected members, CCOs, Auckland Council Departments, members of the business community and mana whenua. He k?rero m?u: About you We are seeking for an practiced professional with practice in economic development, business advice, project management and/or a strategy environment. You will bring strong working expertise of economic development strategies, tools and mechanisms and proven capability to develop and maintain prosperous, strong relationships/strategic partnerships. With a high degree of initiative and availability to go the extra mile, you will ensure work programmes and reporting are of high quality and delivered on time. We are seeking for someone energetic and passionate, with the capability to confidently lead political fora and discussions. Excellent relationship and communication expertise are essential. Your credibility will enable you to engage with and influence senior decision makers. Strong leadership abilities expertise and developing effective local networks are critical for the success of this function. You will have demonstrable political and organisational acumen and a confident and collaborative working style. this function requires a strong intellectual curiosity that enables you to make connections between issues.
