This is the role for you! » No call outs or on call roster » Company car, cellphone, tablet Our client: Supplies, installs and services air conditioning and ventilation systems in the domestic and commercial market. With strong family values, based in Cambridge, our clients hours are 7:30-4pm Monday - Friday, no call outs or on call rosters and 2 week shut down over Christmas. Purpose of role: To support the Commercial Area Manager in leading a team of people in allocating workload and managing the day-to-day service and maintenance operations in the workshop and in the field. It requires the job holder to coordinate resources and liaise with internal and external key contacts to ensure work is delivered on time and to a high standard. Key responsibilities: » Responsible for job allocation and job flow including job scheduling and labour allocation for day-to-day operations. » Co-ordinate resources, (operational and human) schedules and activities to effectively manage jobs. » Ensure supplies are ordered for each job. » Assist with quoting, project management, materials purchasing and quality checks. » Ensure correct job numbers are used and that time records are correct. » Provide oversight and check job estimates. » Manage inwards goods, checking quantities, dispatching goods, and receipting invoices » Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns with the Director. Report on manpower overruns or shortfalls. » Work with the Commercial Area Manager, to respond to client requests for updates on the status of their jobs and keep the communication channels open to ensure information is accurate. » Identify client needs and explain/demonstrate HVAC services to them, which may involve technical descriptions of products and the way they may be used. » Receive and review feedback from customers and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction. » Work with the Commercial Area Manager, to investigate customer complaints and concerns arising from products and suggest appropriate solutions. Discuss with team to identify appropriate course of action. » Develop and implement systems to record, file and store information pertaining to client enquiries. » Promote and lead a Health and Safety culture within the business About you: » Engineering Trade Qualification, Refrigeration or current Full or Limited Electrical EWRB Preferred, but not essential. » Industry experience in HVAC and/or refrigeration. » Fillers & handlers certification. » Site Safe - EWP - working at heights certification - health and safety knowledge. » Have a technical background to support and assist the HVAC tech to fault find and repair HVAC equipment. » Be able to step in if required to assist in any but not limited to the following procedures, breakdown, maintenance, installation, repairs, warranty of HVAC installed and serviced by our client » Strong interpersonal skills. » Ability to work with people at various levels from shop floor to senior management. » Can look beyond the initial customer enquiry and identify other business Opportunities. » CAD drawing skills are an advantage but not essential. » Project management experience. » People management skills. » Computer literacy with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel. » Quality and productivity focused.
