The opportunity The Information technology Improvement Systems and Technology group design, deliver and support the Information technology infrastructure that help New Zealanders help themselves be safe, strong and independent through robust and significant ICT systems. We are seeking for an practiced Information technology Infrastructure Architect to join our existing Improvement Systems and Technology team. Someone who is interested to be involved with not just our broad and enterprise scale technology portfolio, but also help us maintain and improve our infrastructure services to support modern Information technology operating environments. This is an interesting and exciting function, as you provide valued contributions to improve our Infrastructure Architect practice. Your previous architecture expertise and practice will bring expertise of what works and what doesn't and help us adopt new methods for the team to achieve its goals. Working with a broad team of highly motivated Technical Designers, Infrastructure, Enterprise and Solutions Architects you will be responsible for; » Developing, enhancing and renewing the infrastructure technology strategies, roadmaps, design methodologies and practices, » Working in partnership with the Enterprise Architect & Information technology Applications teams to set the technology direction for Infrastructure Services and the wider Information technology team, » Create technical solutions that are secure and meet agreed patterns, » Providing technical and financial analysis for new and existing solutions, » Carry out options analysis for proposed solutions, » At times take a lead function across other Architects and Designers to help deliver required solutions, and » Support our Product Management with the sequencing of workloads and definition of success criteria for features across multiple products and services. Your function will be a leader in the strategy and future of the Ministry's infrastructure services, with significant opportunities for growth and development within one of the largest Information technology infrastructures in the country. With our new steps into modern delivery methods, such as the Scaled Agile Framework, we provide a unique and compensateing working environment. expertise and practice that are essential for the function include; » Network practice/expertise, preferably in M365, Unified Comms and Voice, » Architecture, design, and options analysis, » Working expertise of SAFe for Agile, » Cross-functional integration and negotiation, » Excellent communication expertise both written and verbal, » practice in a commercial environment and in the creation of Information technology infrastructure strategies and technology roadmaps, and » practice with hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions.
