About the function
The Release Train Engineer (RTE) has primary purpose of supporting and coaching an Agile Release Train (ART) by steering Information technology to success and navigating the complexity of delivering software in large, cross-functional environments. The RTE helps resolve and escalate impediments, manages risk, helps assure value delivery, and drives program level continuous improvement. The RTE is accountable for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of value through the program.
An overview of your responsibilities
   » Facilitate Agile release execution and planning events, including but not limited to progressive elaboration of breaking down large units of work into epics and features in collaboration of scrum masters and their squads.
   » Summarise Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency.
   » Work with product and portfolio management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
   » Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Agile practices and mindsets and promote a collaborative team environment.
   » Develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of the MSD digital work programme.
   » Demonstrate knowledge and knowledge of the methodology and processes connected with Scaled Agile execution framework (SAFe®).
   » capability to identify potential risks, opportunities and issues across multiple disciplines and understand design constraints (technical, cost & schedule) sufficiently to validate mitigation plans.
Preferred but not essential
   » Scaled Agile Framework Agile certification and demonstrated practice delivering projects utilising SAFe® methodology.
   » Practical practice with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software environments, and software delivery in agile development teams.
   » Minimum of 5 years’ practice in complex technical development and integration projects.
   » Advanced communication and interpersonal expertise and demonstrated capability to engage, influence and negotiate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and customers.
   » Strong knowledge of Project Engineering principles and application of techniques.
   » Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management.
   » practice with Change Management processes and progressing change management artefacts.
   » practice with Agile Management tools and practices.
   » Able to collaborate prosperously in partnership with your peer on joint train responsibilities.
   » Excellent negotiating, listening and interpersonal expertise, with practice in stakeholder and senior management relations.
   » practice in owning risk, issue, defect registers and its management.
   » Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation expertise.
   » knowledge of MSD processes and how to get things done.
   » Happy to work with ambiguity and constant change.

income range: $124,872.00 – $187,308.00
