About our group and team
The Customer Services team provides the ‘front door’ to the Information technology Group and the Ministry, delivering customer services and training in a range of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems and applications to the Ministry and wider education system.
About the function
We are offering a great opportunity for anpracticedService Desk Operational Analysttojoin our team.
The Service Desk Operational Analyst is responsible for the maintenance and management of the Service Desk toolsets and will identify opportunities for enhancement of the Service Desktoolfunction.
This positionrequiresspecialised knowledge and knowledge across a large and complex Information technology environmentto provide a service improvement focus across the use and support of core Ministry Information technology Systems.
About you
Weare looking fora vibrant personwho hashadpracticein Service Desk Operations within aService Deskenvironmentand bringsexpertise and practice in the following areas:
   » practice of (ITIL) including Incident Management, Problem Management, ChangeControl, SLA and MoU agreements
   » capability to engage with all levels of stakeholders and manage relationships under pressure
   » An consciousness of a range of Information technology related technologies and their practical applications in support business requirements
   » practice in workflows within Service Desk call logging tools
   » practice in training Service Desk and other support teams in our Service Desk Tool/s
   » practice in collatingkey statistics surroundingService Desk call and process management
   » Planning and time management expertise
   » Excellent communicationsboth verbal and written expertise
   » Decision making expertise
   » The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
