Furneaux Lodge and Punga Cove are located in Endeavour Inlet, in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. We are located on the Queen Charlotte Track, being a popular stop for walkers, mountain bikers and boaties. Being accessible only by boat, we pride ourselves on being a unique offering on the Queen Charlotte Track. Working and living on the water is second to none, then add in the opportunity to walk the QC track or go kayaking around the Sounds on your days off. Our menus are located around local, seasonal produce, showcasing the great artisan producers that Marlborough is lucky to have. The primary purpose of this position is to offer guests an exceptional first-class dining practice, by providing exceptional meals to the restaurant patrons. Ultimately to be a part a team establishing a Qualmark status restaurant. Reporting to the venue manager and general manager, the core objectives of this function are as follows but not limited to: » Work closely with a team of chefs for Furneaux Lodge and Punga Cove » Foster an environment of inclusiveness and collaboration, creating a workplace where staff enjoy their work and workplace » Set standards and create consistency across the menu, driving the team to exceed guest expectations. » Comply with all KPI’s and processes, such as Food Safety Plans and financial targets.
