Our client is seeking a Crop Manager to join their team in the Hawkes Bay. » Permanent position » 5 days of work per week from Monday through to Sunday » Horticulture company The purpose of this function is to help maximise yield and Orchard Gate Returns in a cost-effective manner without compromising vine health and sustaincapability objectives. Ensuring compliance with industry and local government requirements and that all work is completed to quality standards. Main tasks and Job responsibilities: » Work closely with orchard managers to ensure tasks are completed to agreed specifications and within agreed timeframes » Along with the RM and Operations Team Leader, plan harvesting logistics and supervision of all picking staff » Demonstrate strong leadership abilities of Vine Team, working alongside key staff to build a positive team culture-located honesty and integrity » To ensure contractors comply with GAP and GRASP (in discussion with Regional Manager) » To ensure all orchard related documentation is completed in a timely manner » To pursue continuing training and practical practice in all aspects of vine management Requirements: » Legally entitled to work permanently in New Zealand in the function » Class 1 NZ Driver's licence » 3-4 years (+) Horticulture practice » Proven leadership abilities expertise » Great communication expertise and capability to operate under pressure » Desirable if you have worked with apples or grapes or Kiwifruit before If you have the required expertise, hit APPLY NOW to submit your CV and cover letter outlining why you will be prosperous in this function.
