Are you passionate about reducing child poverty and making New Zealand the best place in the world to be a child or young person?

We are pursuing an practiced, high performing Senior Analyst to advise on child poverty reduction and on policies that make a difference for some of our most underprivileged children. We have a fixed-term function available for a dedicated individual who wishes to contribute their unique abilities and practice to this important work.
The appointee will be located in the Child Poverty Unit within the Child Wellbeing and Poverty Reduction Group. They will work across government and with a wide variety of stakeholders to provide policy advice and support to senior managers and Ministers on child poverty priorities.
Our ideal candidate will have advanced tertiary qualifications and broad practice advising senior decision makers on strategy or policy. To be considered for this function you will have strong policy expertise, the intellectual capacity to see connections between issues and across time, and the analytical agility to work across a broad range of topics. You will have great people expertise and be practiced in working with a range of stakeholders. You will also be comfortable working in a high autonomy environment, dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty, and exercising discretion and judgement.
this function will be a fixed term position ending in October 2023. Secondments from other government agencies will be considered.
