Job Opportunity: Jewellery Tutor:Job description:Job detailsOrganisation The Learning Connexion Closes 28 May 2021 Posted on 18 May 2021 Region Wellington Work type Part time employment Work classification Education & Development ShareThe Learning Connexion is a tertiary school of Creativity and Art located in the Hutt Valley, Wellington.Our focus is on student-centred learning.We seek a talented jewellery artist to run up to five classes per week during term time, on-site at our campus in Taita. You will be tutoring and evaluating tertiary level students in a creative, dynamic environment. The goal is for students to lgain design processes and use jewellery making techniques to transform a 2D design into a 3D object. You will be an practiced practising jewellery artist with expertise across a diverse range of media and a desire to impart your expertise to a diverse group of learners. Warm, clear communication expertise, technical expertise, consciousness of creative processes and sensitivity to different learning styles are key. You will preferably hold either a degree level qualification in visual/fine arts, or have completed at least The Diploma in Art and Creativity (Level 6) with TLC. Tutoring practice is a must and a teaching qualification is preferred. We deliver to a variety of levels from beginners to more advanced students. Classes are offered across the week over term time. You are not required to work over term breaks, although some planning and development may occur over this time. We require the function to begin in Term 3 which starts 19 July 2021.
