We are currently looking for a Machine Maintenance Fitter (Engineering Trades Person) to join our client's team in Penrose, Auckland. Reporting to the I.S Repair Manager your main responsibilities will be: » To perform mechanical activities to repair and refurbish the glass making machines (IS machines), both within the workshop and in the production area. » Carry out preventative maintenance tasks, utilise SAP for data collection and analysis of maintenance information and mechanical installation. » Support on project work and maintain awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to safety, quality, and the environment. This is a permanent role, 40 hours per week working 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday. However, because the factory runs 24/7, there is an opportunity for overtime should you wish to do it, and in addition there may be a business requirement for you to support with the occasional call-out after hours or over the weekend. »What you will bring to the team: You will hold either a Mechanical Trade Certificate or a National Certificate in Maintenance and Diagnostics or equivalent. » You will also be able to demonstrate your experience in mechanical engineering or machine maintenance (minimum 4 years), and the ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment. » You'll be familiar with working in a manufacturing environment (medium or a heavy industrial environment experience will be highly regarded). » You'll have an exceptional ability for fault finding and diagnostics, with the ability to work under urgency and pressure while maintaining high standards. » You're a team player with strong written and verbal communication and value the safety of yourself and others above all else.
