Mobile Development and Employment Youth Coach – Fixed term to 30 June 2023

Make a difference and advocate for Rangatahi (16-24 years of age) to have opportunity to achieve their milestones in life including employment, education, training and social development. The function is located in Thames and covering Hauraki.
About The function:
As the Mobile Employment and Development Coach, you will be responsible for providing access to paid work, training and education through job coaching, mentoring and brokerage for Rangatahi (16 – 24 yrs.) not currently engaged with Youth Services.
You will work as part of the Te Huarahi team and in partnership with MSD, Police, Iwi, Local Mayors and other Partner Agencies.
this function is highly mobile and outcome focused. Your capability to establish credibility and manage relationships across diverse internal and external audiences is evident and necessary.
You will facilitate opportunity and tautoko our Rangatahi to achieve their milestones and goals.
You will need to possess strong relationship expertise, excellent communication and have a people focused approach, be able to work alongside our Rangatahi and their support network, in partnership, encouraging them to develop and achieve milestones focused on a better future.
In our changing environment you will also play a key function in ensuring the prosperous delivery of the services, specifically under a Hauraki Rangatahi initiative that works in Partnership with Police across Hauraki called Te Huarahi (Youth Aspirational Pathways).
You will contribute to the strategic results of MSD, Police, Iwi and our Communities in Hauraki.
You’ll have:
   » A sound knowledge of youth development principles and practice
   » practice in delivering employment brokerage, job opportunities, training and education to Rangatahi
   » Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management expertise
   » The capability to gather, analyse and interpret trends and provide robust feedback and recommendations
   » Strong problem solving and organisational expertise
   » practice with risk/issues management and conflict resolution
   » Strong administration, reporting and processing expertise
   » Most importantly, you can champion and keep the integrity of the purpose and model of Te Huarahi so Information technology remains Rangatahi centred.
A sound working knowledge of MSD services and products would also be an advantage. You will need to be self-motivated, well organised, focused and have a commitment to achieving personal goals while operating with the highest of ethical and professional standards.

income range: $71,943 – $87,931
