We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Programme Manager to establish and manage Te Au o Te Awa PungaTe Au o Te Awa Punga is the interface between four of the Whakat?ne Districts local Iwi and Whakat?ne District Council. The hub is established to enable and support wh?nau, hapu and iwi to effectively input and provide advice on the Eastern Bay of Plenty spatial plan development, Affordable Water Reforms and the development of the Whakat?ne District Climate Change Action Plan. As a Programme Manager, you will spearhead the engagement, collaboration and development of strategic initiatives that address critical policy challenges. Your skills and leadership abilities will contribute to the aspirations and goals of our local Iwi, making a tangible difference in the lives of wh?nau, hap?, Iwi and communities. Job responsibilities: Relationship Management: » Build and maintain strong relationships with participating Iwi entities as guided by Iwi CE » Collaborate and engage with participating Iwi entities to identify key policy priorities and develop action plans. » supervise the planning, execution, and evaluation of diverse policy projects within the hub. » Manage a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. » Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure prosperous results. » Conduct rigorous research and analysis to inform evidence-located policy recommendations. Appropriate qualifications: » Proven practice in programme management, ideally in a policy-oriented environment. » Strong expertise of policy development processes and familiarity working with Wh?nau, Hap? and Iwi » Excellent communication skills, including the capability to engage with wh?nau, hap? and Iwi » Demonstrated capability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving strategic objectives. » Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. » Track record of prosperously managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
