Base in South canterbury near Geraldine, this location offers outdoor activities such as tramping, hunting, mountain biking and skiing all within driving distance. We are 2 hours from Christchurch, 3 hours from Dunedin and 4.5 hours from Queenstown. The spring calving herd of 1850 cows are milked through an 80 Bail rotary cowshed, with protrack, ACR’s, automatic teat spraying and in-shed feeding, the facilities have been set up for an efficient operation. The accommodation available is a warm, modern, open plan two-bedroom flat that is very well maintained. Heat pump for heating and an internal access garage. You will bring an active & enthusiastic contribution in the day-to-day running of the farm operations and have Health & Safety at the forefront of mind. We are seeking for is someone who reflects a positive & cooperative attitude with a calm & well-balanced nature. Farming practice for the function is not essential, however being able to communicate effectively & openly with all people and to work well within & value being a part of a team, is essential.
