Are you a skilled CNC Machinist looking for an exciting opportunity to join a growing and hard-working team?
Join a leading precision engineering company in Hamilton, They specialize in serving the global food processing, packaging, and pharmaceutical industries. As a CNC Operator, you'll be a key part of our team, working on workshop machinery equipment such as lathes (conventional and CNC), milling machines, drills, and cutting saws. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively are crucial for success in this role.
Hours:
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Hamilton, offering the potential for overtime hours paid at time and a half. While overtime hours are not guaranteed, they are typically available and can be scheduled during weekdays or occasionally on Saturday mornings.
Requirements:
   » Trade qualification in CNC machining or 5 years' experience in a machine job shop
   » High standards of workmanship
   » Strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities
   » Team player with an eye for detail
   » Capability to design and craft jigs and fixtures for improved efficiency
Responsibilities:
   » Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components
   » Utilize Edgecam software to program CNC mills
   » Follow instructions accurately and maintain a positive attitude towards learning
   » Demonstrate an eye for detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all machining tasks
   » Adhere to deadlines and consistently deliver work in a timely and punctual manner
   » Collaborate effectively with the team, contributing to a positive and growth-oriented work environment
   » Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective team communication
   » Self-manage workloads as needed, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills
