About our group
The People Group ensures that MSD has the organisation, people and culture capcapability to deliver on the Government's results and priorities. We provide strategic and operational support through a full suite of HR strategies, policies, procedures and services. We are a collaborative team who provide great service and continuous improvement within a constructive culture.
About the function
We have an opportunity to lead the Business Advisory team who is responsible for providing our customers with HR policy and practice advice and support with recruitment administration.
An overview of your Job responsibilities:
   » Lead and develop a high performing, customer focused team consistent with our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
   » Enable the delivery of high quality, timely and accurate HR advice
   » Partner closely with stakeholders to develop customer focused results
   » Work to continuously improve HR practices and services
   » Ensure we adopt and implement new polices, legislative requirements and practices that adhere to changing employment legislation
   » Adopt an agile, best practice model
What you will bring:
   » Great leadership abilities and management practice, building high performing teams and developing people
   » A strong background in HR processes and practice
   » The capability to build trusting relationships and influence at a senior level
   » Continuous Improvement practice, looking for opportunities that will improve service delivery
   » An in-depth knowledge of organisational issues and HR legislative requirements
   » Commitment to excellent customer service, through collaboration and teamwork
