About us
The Parent Information Community Intelligence (PICI) group drives initiatives that support parents, whanau, hapu, iwi, employers, and communities (demand side groups) to influence our education system and help every New Zealander learn, progress and achieve.
Building powerful partnerships between whanau, employers, communities and educators will help raise aspirations and lift progress and achievement for all learners. We design and deliver initiatives that support these partnerships with a focus on tamariki the education system has not served well – Maori, Pacific and disabled learners and whanau in particular.
Te Hurihanganui is a community-led approach to improving results for Maori learners and whanau by covering racism in the education system. The kaupapa is being implemented in six communities to test what works on the ground and in the classroom. What we lgain from those communities will be used to improve the education system for all learners and whanau.
About the function
We are seeking for a Senior Advisor to support the system change workstream of Te Hurihanganui. You will support the System Change Manager to take learnings from community implementation and influence the policy and operational changes needed to improve the education system.
We are seeking for someone who:
   » is passionate about improving results for akonga Maori and their whanau
   » can demonstrate practice in the practical application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and fostering racial equity
   » understands machinery of government and can work effectively within large organisations to deliver results
   » has amazing communications and relationship management expertise
   » has great time management expertise and an eye for detail.
