This is a dynamic team responsible for delivering performance testing across our existing applications and services along with large-scale projects where workload modelling are a must. The Performance Engineer provides skills across the full testing and software development life cycle of the Ministries applications and services. They will optimise the performance testing capcapability through continuous improvement and in conformity with industry standards and best practice. They will also be expected to provide support as well as maintain tooling. The prosperous candidate will bring expertise, skills and practice in the following areas: » Proven practice in developing performance test plans and summary reporting » Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written particularly business writing and reporting, ensure your communication is always clear and concise » Have practice in NeoLoad which is the tool of choice within the Ministry » Competent in undertaking requirements analysis and establishing test coverage » Practiced in designing performance test assets and how to execute volume workload models » Proficient in executing performance testing an d providing the analysis across run average, and peak load scenarios » Capable of performing defect management, including triage sessions, and reporting » Practiced in generating progress reports and conducting stakeholder management It is desirable, but not a pre-requisite, that the prosperous candidate has the following Appropriate qualifications: » A significant tertiary qualification For a job description and to apply online go tohttp://www.minedu.govt.nz/careers The Ministry is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
