About our group and team The Information Technology group provides the information, infrastructure and support to the Ministry to get the job done. The ICT Project Services team of Project Managers and Coordinators, supported by the Project Office, takes pride in its strong delivery commitment and the high standard of work Information technology achieves. In the last year we embarked in a New Ways of Working which has seen the introduction of more Agile ways of working for some of the initiatives in delivery, supported by the establishment of the Agile practice. We have a great programme of projects for the next few years and there will be lots of opportunities to work with a variety of project teams that will deliver some real change and innovation for b oth the Ministry and the Education Sector. About this function Following the experimentation phase, as we move forward in the next phase of our journey and we are embracing more adaptive ways of delivery and evolving the Agile practice, alongside the predictive approaches used by the Ministry, the Scrum Master function is instrumental. About you To be prosperous in this function you will have the following: » One to two years’ practice as a Scrum Master/Agile Facilitator » Knowledge of Agile practices, Agile design practices, Agile development practices » Process improvement and continuous integration practice; and » practice on developing high performance teams, coaching, mentoring You will also offer the following: » practice in developing measurement systems to track performance » capability to build strong relationships, emotional and social intelligence » Pragmatic, collaborative approach to problem solving; comfortable with ambiguity » Leading by example and inspiring team members » Great communicator, effective listener; and » An knowledge of government processes If you’d like to bring your expertise to a compensateing function within an organisation that’s continuously reaching goals and striving for a better future for New Zealand, we’d love to hear from you.
