Offer: Herd Manager:Job description:Herd ManagerPayment: Paid Position ($26/hr or income equivalent )Job location: Ashburton Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: practice Necessary Listing Added: 11/03/2022 We require a hard working, reliable and motivated Herd Manager to join our team for the 2022/2023 season. As sharemilkers we aim to foster a positive working environment with all team members encouraged to join in on farm discussions. Career development will be encouraged through on and off farm training. The prosperous applicant will have at least two years practice in NZ dairy farming, with great shed hygiene, the capability to detect mastitis and excellent animal husbandry expertise. The property milks 650 cows through a 50 bale rotary (in-shed feeding, ACR’s, auto teat spray and drafting). The farm is 185ha and spray irrigated via centre pivot, a rotorainer and a small area of sprinklers. Effluent is applied via centre pivot. The farm is perfectly located in Winchmore, Mid Canterbury within 13mins to both Ashburton and Methven. You must be a NZ citizen, permanent resident or have a valid work visa and currently be in New Zealand to apply for this position. A tidy 1 bedroom house is provided. Skills:
