Organisational Capcapability and Services (OCS) | He Pou Aronui Finance sits within Organisational Capcapability and Services, a branch dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to succeed by providing corporate services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand. We have an opportunity for an Accountant to join our team. Working in the Financial Accounting and Control team you will be responsible to ensure key month end tasks and journals are prepared and entered, that balance sheet reconciliations are completed and any reconciling items investigated and resolved. You will also prepare the monthly financial statements for some small Trusts we provide financial services to. Key requirements of the function include: » Proven capability to investigate transactions. » Good communication expertise. » Attention to detail, strong time management expertise, growth mindset and self-motivated. To be considered for this function you must have prior practice with completing balance sheet reconciliations of complex financial systems (DIA uses Oracle). Most importantly, you're a team player, have an open, approachable and collaborative communication and working style and you are capable of building long-term productive stakeholder relationships.
