Partners in Care, the Health Quality & Safety Commission’s consumer and wh?nau engagement programme, is expanding. There are three opportunities to further develop the programme and be part of exciting new work to focus on what matters for people and wh?nau as we work to improve the quality of our health and discapability system.
We are undertaking a joint work programme with the Health Transition Unit at the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet to develop the foundations of the new consumer and wh?nau voice framework – a key aspect of prosperous implementation of the reforms. A key focus of these functions will be working as part of the Partners in Care team to achieve prosperous implementation of these foundational components.
We are pursuing a programme manager. Your function will include being key to planning the programme, delivering aspects of it, working across the Commission to ensure the strategic priority of improving practices for consumers and wh?nau is strongly reflected, and managing RFP, budget, and contract processes.
All positions in the Partners in Care team must build and maintain strong relationships with consumers and wh?nau, and work together with them to shape both the programme, and the Commission’s direction more broadly.
The Commission is a stand-alone Crown entity with a Board responsible to the Minister of Health. The Commission is responsible for assisting providers across the whole health and discapability sector, both private and public, to improve service safety and quality and therefore results for all those who use these services in New Zealand.
