With a lift in awarded projects of recent after a volatile 2020, this contractor is now ready to bring on board a strong senior QS to manage one of their projects valued at $50M. The function: Reporting to the commercial manager, you will be responsible for administration of subcontractor contracts, cost estimating, contract negotiation, monitoring subcontractors to ensure they are undertaking works in conformity with contractual obligations, analysing costs, variations, final accounts, client meetings, resolving issues, team management and liaising across multiple stakeholders. Your background: You will need to be a degree or diploma qualified Quantity Surveyor with 10+ years' practice on New Zealand projects over $30M in value gained with a Tier 1 or 2 main contractor. You will need to have a positive attitude and be a team player. Your capability to manage relationships with colleagues, project managers, engineers, architects, sub-contractors and tradespeople will allow you to become a valued member of the project team.
