Job Offer: Proposals wanted - Basque Park hoardings:Job description:Job detailsOrganisation Link Alliance Closes 29 Nov 2021 Posted on 18 Nov 2021 Region Auckland Work type Contract, Expressions of interest Work classification Visual Arts ShareLink Alliance, who are building the City Rail Link, are seeking proposals from artists or arts brokers to provide artwork to beautify the hoarding fence installed in Basque Park during a construction period. Both solo pieces and collaborations are welcome.The artwork/s should provide a sense of place to an area that has been heavily affected by construction, but which is also a well-used and well-loved public space. The space lends itself to the area's special character and edgy artistic feel and will need to reflect Link Alliance's creative principles and themes. Please note there is a tight turnaround for this artwork to be installed; ideally artwork will be installed before the Christmas break. All sorts of media are welcome: you may want to use stencils; print onto vinyl; paint directly onto the plywood, or something else we haven't thought of yet. There are two sites that require artwork, with a provisional budget of up to $25,000 for the first site, and up to $15,000 for the second. The hoardings will be in place for one year and will be visible to local residents and local businesses as well as visitors.
