The opportunity Over the last five years we have been evolving our delivery approach located on agile at scale and We are seeking for a talented Technical Product Owners to join us permanently here at Information Systems Technology at the Ministry of Social Development. As a Technical Product Owner, you will have the opportunity to operate across multiple products, services and contribute to the delivery of strategy. The most appropriate candidate will have the capabilities to provide leadership abilities and guidance to Agile teams by steering Information technology to success. Opportunities exist across our Client Self-Service and Identity Modernisation teams. The key elements and responsibilities within the function are » practice leading, growing, and developing a team of technical Business Analysts, Developers and Test Analysts » Effective communication style with the capability to build strong working relationships, having built a foundation of trust in our products with internal and external stakeholders » practice in Scrum and agile software development methodologies and tools, with project delivery practice » Strong facilitating practice along with participation in planning, with the capability to define and prioritise product backlogs across multiple portfolio streams and competing priorities » The capability to influence change using a strategic and planned approach across architecture, service design and process development » practice managing and coordinating the delivery of business value and products from conception to release into production » Confidence in identifying risks, trends and areas for improvement, while providing practical advice and solutions to ensure business needs are met within timeframes » practice in delivery of software in large government organisations would be beneficial » Provide functional, technical and domain leadership abilities on Digital Systems » Execute the product vision, strategy and roadmap, collaboratively with different teams The illustrated abilities you can bring to the function» Confident in making decisions that can impact in providing results, meeting deadlines and budget allocations» practice in negotiating constructive results in complex environments with competing priorities » Proven operation management practice of delivery within a large, complex Agile technology environment » An excellent eye for detail with the capability to clear written and verbal communication » Proven practice working at leadership abilities level » practice with working within a dynamic and fast paced team environment » practice working using different delivery frameworks - traditional and agile.
