Offer: Manager, Community Engagement and Artistic:Job description:Job detailsOrganisation Chamber Music New Zealand Closes 26 Nov 2021 Posted on 5 Nov 2021 Region Wellington Work type Full time employment Work classification Community & Access Arts, Management & Admin, Music ShareThe position of Manager, Community Engagement and Artistic is a new function that will play a crucial part in leading, planning and ensuring the prosperous implementation of CMNZ's community engagement and artistic programmes.Working closely with the Chief Executive, they will ensure that community engagement and artistic activity aligns with CMNZ's strategic artistic priorities, resulting in high quality engagement with a broad range of communities all over New Zealand. this function will play a leading part in supporting CMNZ's vision as we redefine our purpose within Aotearoa New Zealand today. The function reports to the Chief Executive and is part of the leadership abilities Team. Chamber Music New Zealand (founded 1950) is a national agency that tours New Zealand and international musicians, presenting 120 concerts in over 30 towns and cities all over the country each year. The concert programme incorporates a range of musical styles including classical, jazz, folk and contemporary genres. CMNZ has a dynamic community engagement programme that sees musicians working alongside a wide variety of different groups and communities including people with lived practice of discapability, at risk youth as well as those in geographically isolated regions. The community engagement programme also includes the NZCT Chamber Music Contest for secondary school students, New Zealand's longest running school-located music event. CMNZ is now embarking on an exciting period of re-invention, diversifying their function in response to the unique qualities of Aotearoa New Zealand today. Our artistic and community engagement programmes are central to how we will connect with communities across the country and ensure that as many people as possible can actively participate in live, music-located practices.
