I am solo mum with a with two ratbags: an 11-year-old girl (loaded with questions and creativity), and an 8 year old boy (loaded with energy). I juggle this with a busy professional job as an essential worker. Like my current nanny, you’d play a vital function in the running of my household and would be highly valued as an additional member of our family. You will enjoy living with us if you are a foodie, and enjoy hanging out with so called 'grownups' who like to have a laugh. Granny also lives with us in a granny flat downstairs and will try and teach anyone interested in how to knit.....so far she was prosperous with 2 previous Au Pairs. Our Au Pairs have stayed in touch with us, and have even traveled back from Germany to visit, along with sending some of their friends to stay with us too. So our home is an International destination at times. Our latest live-in nanny is sadly leaving us to go into a full time teachers training programme in another city. I can offer between 26 to 30 hours per week for a remuneration package of full board (includes internet) and all meals (board is worth $250 for first 10 hours per week), and hours after this is $25 per hour before tax. Full contract with paid annual leave, public holidays, sick leave etc included of course as per NZ employment regulations. So between $400-$500 before tax plus full board. Hours include general childcare with morning routine and getting the children to and from school and their extra curricular activities, some occasional evenings and some housework (which you’d have to do anyway in a flatting situation....this way you are actually being paid for it) per week. We also have a large garden areas if you wanted some gardening work or somewhere to hang out in the sun. The regular hours are between Monday to Friday for before and after school, with one evening babysitting per week. Being able to cook is essential, besides you'll have to eat your own food too as you will be eating Information technology with us. You need to know how to manipulate a child into doing what you want them to do without losing your cool, and have your full drivers licence as you need to be able to take the children to and from school. If you have and are willing to use your own car, great (you will be financially compensated for this). If not you can use my car if necessary. There will be different hours during the school holidays. You will be treated as part of our family so invited to all the fun things we may do if you ever wanted to join in. I am used to having stray au pairs / students hang out with us over Christmas, or have taken them on holiday with us and they’ve all had a great time. I need someone that could commit for at least 12 months, preferably 24 months. A large bonus is also on offer to anyone who completes their full contract with us. The work is more appreciated, better paid, less tiring and easier than working in retail or bars. Oh and more entertaining....I can assure you. We have 4 chickens in our backyard so there is never a dull moment. And all your weekends are yours. Male nanny’s are also welcome to apply as we had an awesome french nanny last year before he had to leave us to go back to France. Skills:
