Job Opportunity: Hop Worker:Job description:Hop WorkerPayment: Paid Position ($22.00)Job location: 202 Higgins Road, Wakefield Region: Nelson/Abel Tasman/Golden Bay practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 05/12/2021 We are a family owned and operated hop farm in the Nelson region, 15 minutes from Richmond. We are currently looking for staff for the 2022 hop harvest which will commence approximately the 21st February and go for about 5 weeks. We require 4 people to load the hops, sweep and keep the front of shed tidy. We also require 2 people with hydro ladder experince to get hop bines off the wires. You will need to be physically fit as the days are long and hard. The hours are from 7.30am until aprroximately 6.30pm, with regular breaks all over the day. As we work 7 days per week during harvest, days off will be on a rotational basis of 5 days on, 1 day off. Safety gear is supplied but wet weather gear may be required after periods of rain. A bonus will be paid for completion of the harvest. If you have your own vechicle to sleep in, you are welcome to stay onsite and use the facilities available free of charge. These include a kitchen/commonroom with oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and drier, shower and toilets. Skills:
