About the team
In partnership with the various teams in Improvement Systems and Technology (IST), the business and our Information technology suppliers, we help in the initiation, planning and delivery of solutions that meet the needs of the business.
this function will focus on vendor management and supplier support. The work is currently increasing in supporting wider IST teams in their Contracts and Statement of Work management, acting as a liaison between IST and Procurement, Software Licensing support and focusing on improvements through collaborating with other IST vendor Managers.
As the Junior Programme Advisor, you will:
   » Work closely with the Technical Product Owner (TPO) Supplier Management in supporting the development of best practice supplier management across the IST team at the Ministry.
   » Collaborate with other Information technology specialists and some Information technology managers to ensure that assigned pieces of work are completed as expected.
   » Work with the EPMO, project managers and other stakeholders to improve our Portfolio, Programme and Project maturity in a Scaled Agile environment, including Benefit Realisation, Change Management.
   » Collaborate with other teams within IST to support their engagement with suppliers and other internal teams to ensure timely and effective delivery.
We are seeking for the ideal person who:
   » Is comfortable working with staff from different backgrounds, with varied expertise/work styles/personalities and is able to develop and maintain trust and good working relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation.
   » Can self-manage, plan, facilitate, organise and execute well alone or in collaboration with others.
   » Does not shy away from constructively questioning the status quo, assumptions and beliefs and offer ways of improving current practice.
   » Is able to deal with ambiguity (at times).
   » Has a good sense of humour.
Technical expertise
   » Supplier and/or Vendor Management practice advantageous.
   » knowledge of financial modelling and practice working collaboratively with Financial Analysts.
   » capability to work effectively with internal (IT and Procurement) and External (Suppliers) stakeholders.
   » Microsoft Office suite expertise, with advanced Excel expertise.
   » Effective written and oral communication.
   » knowledge of effective Governance and processes to support this.
   » knowledge of managing workload in an Agile/SAFe work environment.
