Job Offer: Bar Staff:Job description:Bar StaffPayment: Paid PositionJob location: Russell Region: Northland & Bay of Islands practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 11/08/2022 The Duke of Marlborough Hotel in Russell is seeking Bar Staff to ensure the smooth running of the bar and to provide amazing service to our customers. The Duke of Marlborough Hotel is an award-winning destination venue located directly on the waterfront in beautiful Russell. Steeped in history and intrigue, this majestic heritage building has been refreshing rascals and reprobates since 1827. Only a short ferry ride from centrally located Paihia, a mere few hours from Auckland, The Duke is the perfect environment for developing young professionals looking to take the next step. You will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week. Up to $30.00 per hour, depending on practice. Our bar team needs outstanding interpersonal expertise as you will be working closely with the Bar Manager/Duty Manager, staff, and customers. Your responsibilities will be to: · Greet customers warmly · Serve customers promptly and in a friendly manner · Ensure there is always an adequate supply of clean glassware · Ensure the customer areas are tidy at all times and are displayed in conformity with the establishment’s standards · Advise Bar Manager/Duty Manager of bar supply shortages · Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws · Ensure you have a full expertise of the current wine list and all other beverages on offer · Follow instructions from Bar Manager/Duty Manager The following personal attributes are a must for this function: · Good communication expertise · Excellent customer service · Good time management expertise · Positive and friendly manner · Honest and reliable · Be able to work as part of a team We are seeking for team members with a bit of practice in hospitality – even better if it’s behind the bar but most importantly a great attitude and availability to learn.
