The Duke of Marlborough Hotel is an award-winning destination venue located directly on the waterfront in beautiful Russell. Steeped in history and intrigue, this majestic heritage building has been refreshing rascals and reprobates since 1827. We are seeking for Somebody with about 3 years duty management practice who has outstanding interpersonal expertise, a great attitude and availability to learn. As Duty Manager, your main responsibilities will be: » Effectively manage staff ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. » Support staff in training and development. » Ensure all customers’ inquiries and concerns are responded to promptly and appropriately. » Be familiar with the menu and wine list, including everyday specials. » Communicate with customers and make recommendations for menu and beverage selection. » Supervise general cleaning and ensure that establishment and hygiene standards are maintained. » Work closely with other departments ensuring communication flows effectively.
