Do you have practice running or doing administration for a medical centre? If you have a flair for multi-tasking, a keen eye for detail, thrive in a diverse and bustling environment and have a good sense of humour, this function is for you!
This is a challenging, multi-tasking position within a private medical centre of excellence. The organisation prides itself on service and patient care, where attention to detail is key. Prior practice in the general medical field is required as our client is seeking a team player with initiative and a “can-do” attitude - somebody who is enthusiastic and still eager to learn. this function will offer you the capability to make a difference and take responsibility and ownership for the work you do, while working within a positive and friendly team environment.
The function
This is a broad administrative function that includes the following Job responsibilities:
   » Booking patients for procedures
   » Ensuring patients have all the necessary information and complete the required paperwork prior to their procedures
   » Managing funding for procedures, usually via prior approval from patients’ medical insurers
   » Co-ordinating the set-up and booking of complex medical procedures and ensuring all components are in place on the day of the procedure
   » Interacting with patients on a everyday basis, both in person and on the telephone
   » Raising invoices to patients and health insurers
   » On-going liaison and coordination with doctors and the clinical team
   » General administration and data entry
Your profile
To be considered for this function, We are pursuing someone who has the following qualities:
   » Proven practice working in busy, varied team-located environment
   » Flexibility and a “can-do” attitude as the function can vary at any given time
   » Excellent written & verbal communication expertise with fluent English
   » A keen eye for detail and accuracy with data entry
   » Be “systems savvy” with strong Word and Excel expertise
   » Demonstrate strong interpersonal expertise, the capability think logically and problem-solve
Location
   » Along with your colleagues (both administrative and clinical) you will be rostered between their Epsom and Northshore facilities, more initially located in at the main Epsom site for training and from there be part of a rotation out to Northshore (along with ALL of your four colleagues – ie shared) which isn’t set dates as Information technology depends on the Clinicians procedures there (they also work on this rotation method). Note: Like all staff, you must be flexible and happy to fit in with this open ended arrangement, please kindly do not apply if you have a rigid schedule to meet, or set start times required.
   » This is a full-time function, where flexibility around hours is required to accommodate very early starts or late finishes (Monday to Friday).
