The Opportunity Over the last five years we have been evolving our delivery approach located on agile at scale and We are seeking for a talented Release Train Engineer to join us permanently within our IST Identity and Security Team here at the Ministry of Social Development. As a Release Train Engineer, you will have the opportunity to operate across multiple products, services and contribute to the delivery of strategic value through the coordination and sequencing of release train activities. The most appropriate candidate will have the capabilities to provide leadership abilities and guidance to Agile teams by steering Information technology to success and navigating the complexity of delivering software in large, cross-functional environments. You will work closely with our Group General Manager, Improvement, Systems and Technology and our Head of Technology Security. The key elements and responsibilities within the function are» Accountcapability for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of value through programmes» Facilitate Agile release execution and planning events, including but not limited to progressive elaboration of breaking down large units of work into epics and features in collaboration of scrum masters and their squads » Summarise Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives. Publish findings for visibility and transparency for viewers » Encourage collaboration between teams » Work alongside Product and Portfolio Management, Product Owners and stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment » Coach and guide leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Agile practices and mindsets, whilst promoting a collaborative team environment » Develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of the MSD digital work programme » Demonstrate knowledge and knowledge of the methodology and processes connected with Scaled Agile execution framework » capability to identify potential risks, opportunities and issues across multiple disciplines and understand design constraints The illustrated abilities you can bring to the function » Proven operation management practice of delivery within a large, complex agile technology environment » practice in negotiating constructive results in complex environments with competing priorities » An excellent eye for detail with the capability to clear written and verbal communication » Previous proven practice as a Release Train Engineer, Scrum Lead or Agile Coach » Proven practice in critical thinking within a large and complex working environment » capability to develop high quality reporting and analytical information providing interpretation, insights and guidance at an executive level » Proven practice working at executive level alongside senior leadership abilities » Confident in making decisions that can impact in providing results, meeting deadlines and budget allocations How can we support you?
