   » $45,000 – $66,000 per annum, dependent on practice
   » Various Central Auckland Locations: Grey Lynn, Onehunga, Otahuhu, Mangere and Panmure
   » Six permanent opportunities
We are currently looking for passionate, professional and dedicated Youth Workers across Central Auckland to positively influence the lives of our tamariki and rangatahi through demonstrating appropriate behaviours and supporting them to achieve their goals.

About the function – Mo te tunga
As a Youth Worker, you will be engaging with and providing professional support to our tamariki and rangatahi. You will be assisting in the facilitation of care and support to our tamariki and rangatahi through demonstrating positive behaviours and acknowledging personal influence on the life of our youth.
Engaging with whanau and other stakeholders will be part of your function where you will initiate and advocate on behalf of young people. You will also be sharing your practices with our tamariki and rangatahi and guiding them to achieve their best potential.
You will also be working with collaborative teams who are passionate about Oranga Tamariki’s vision, purpose and values. You will also be providing and working in partnership with our Social Workers, managers and support team. this function will also see you playing a part in building positive cultural and community connection, self-development and finally education, training and employment focus.

   » Proven capability to build positive relationships with our tamariki and rangatahi
   » Strong professional ethics and a holistic approach that is client-centred and strengths-located
   » A caring, friendly demeanour and a real team player
   » A real passion and dedication to all aspects of service deliveries
   » knowledge and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, in particular; knowledge of tikanga Maori, and Pacific peoples’ culture
