Being part of the Team, you will be key in effectively managing the operational needs. Being reasonable in all your actions, you will consider the impact of your actions in your department and how it impacts cross functionally to foster the values of the company. The purpose of this role is to be the transport interface for both internal and external customers during the collection, sortation and delivery utilising different configurations of vehicles to achieve this. To act in an efficient and professional manner to ensure the timeliness and integrity of the freight throughout the delivery cycle. Core Accountabilities: » Driving » Consignment delivery and collection » Maintenance » Inspection » Reporting » Training » Team support The Requirements Essential » An understanding of the Road Code, defensive driving techniques and relevant transport laws » Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to light to heavy equipment operations; and best practice methods, materials and tools used in the performance of their work. » Driver's License (Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) » Knowledge of the area they work in and the correct and approved routes to take » Five years driving experience Preferred » Site Safe Passport, Driver Safe Passport » Endorsement Dangerous Goods (D), Forklift (F) » Five years transport industry experience Swinglift operator » Mini-swing operator » A proven track record in being part of a successful, fast paced environment that calls for attention to detail, where we work as one.
