The Ministry provides care and protection of vulnerable children and young people employment, earnings support and superannuation services funding to community service providers social policy and advice to government student allowances and loans. The Organisational Planning, Performance and Governance (OPPG) business unit provides important services to the Chief Executive, the leadership abilities Team and Ministers in relation to organisational strategic planning and decision making, governance and budget processes. This includes accountcapability and planning processes that relate to the Ministry as an organisation, and performance advice and monitoring undertaken on behalf of the Minister. As Manager, Strategy and Performance, you will work closely with the Ministry's leadership abilities Team on managing the strategic governance processes and providing advice. You will be responsible for the overall management of key accountcapability documents, as well as reporting and advising on performance achievement across the Ministry. Your management expertise and advice will be crucial to producing high quality reports and products for the Ministry and Minister, including the preparation of key accountcapability/reporting documents such as the annual report. You will work closely with the Principal Advisor Crown Entities to support them in performing our monitoring responsibilities. This is an interesting and dynamic function requiring sound analytical and relationship management capability. We are seeking for an practiced professional, who has been involved in strategic/business planning work in the government sector. Developing and maintaining relationships within the Ministry and with counterparts in the State Sector are an important aspect of the job so you will require strong relationship expertise. Collaboration is essential to be able to deliver integrated and high-level performance within the team and across the organisation.
