Offer: Programme Coordinator -Central North Island:Programme Coordinator -Central North Island Road Safety Education LtdJob description:Job DescriptionRoad Safety Education Ltd (RSE), in partnership with local Rotary clubs provides young driver education programmes to high school students. This community initiative receives strong corporate sponsorship from BOC, NZ Steel, and Bridgestone.The RYDA Programme was launched in New Zealand in 2007 with over 75,000 students participating to date. RSE seeks to appoint a tenacious and passionate individual located in Auckland to manage their operation in Auckland and Northland from Pukekohe to Kaitaia. The position will report to the General Manager – New Zealand. This challenging position provides a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in our community. RSE and its partners are committed to improving road safety and the Programme Coordinator will play a major function in maintaining and growing the company's operations, working alongside our partners and engaging with local authorities and schools in a crucial area of education. The function will suit candidates who are good all-rounders with a desire for part-time employment (0.7 FTE) that will involve some travel at times. You need to be willing to get stuck into all parts of the function and thrive on a challenge. You will be good at thinking on your feet and problem solving and thrive under pressure. Spinning plates is a skill you are good at as often you will be switching between sales, event management and facilitating and administration tasks. The function involves prosperously running our programmes with our secondary schools and working with our community stakeholders. Key to your success will be your capability to connect with local communities including; high school students, teachers and principals; council road safety personnel and Police. You will also lead a small team of contract facilitators. The aim of this function is to deliver the RYDA programme across multiple schools in the region and to also support schools in extending road safety within their curriculums. The primary responsibility will be to market the programme to schools and to encourage students to participate. The prosperous candidate will be able to demonstrate prior success in one or more of the following areas. » A prosperous sales background within the education system. » A track record in an event management function within a multi-disciplinary environment. » An capability to communicate effectively (written and verbal expertise). » To work effectively with individuals at all levels including volunteers. » An capability to work autonomously to achieve objectives. » Very good attention to detail. » Prior practice in a not-for-profit or and/or the road safety or education sectors. » Proven organisational capability and time management expertise coupled with a high degree of computer literacy. practice in using a CRM system would be valuable but not essential. candidates must have access to their own vehicle and a vehicle allowance will be included as part of the function. this function also involves some travel with overnight stays.
