The Advisor will support internal and external communications supporting the values and branding of Whakarongorau Aotearoa with a specific focus on the COVID vaccination service and partnership with our M?ori partner contact centres About the function – Atu mo te mahi The Communications Advisor – Mana Taurite creates quality content to tell our stories to be used in campaigns to guide M?ori to our services, whilst maintaining relationships with our M?ori partner call centres, with a particular focus on the COVID vaccination service. You will perform the following tasks: » Work with the Campaign Communications Lead to create communications and marketing content for our M?ori Partner contact centres » Promote evidence-located approaches, activities, information, and resources that support M?ori » Manage communications advice to partner contact centres and service user practice team » Embedding our values and brand by delivering communications campaigns to guide whanau through the virtual door » Optimise print, social media and blog campaigns to generate employee and service user interaction and brand exposure in relation to our COVID vaccination service » Escalate social media risk relating to the COVID Vaccination service within scope About you – Pehea koe Qualifications and practice: » Preferably holds significant tertiary qualification not essential » At least two years’ practice in communication and/or community engagement position » Ideally health sector or NGO practice » Ideally skills in Te Whare Tapa Wh? (M?ori model of health) » Ideally can speak Te Re M?ori Skills and competence: » Sound knowledge, knowledge and application of Te Reo M?ori and Tikanga » Proven capability to engage effectively with M?ori and non-M?ori and advise on equity focused approaches » Knowledgeable of health inequalities and priority populations » Exceptional strategic, communication and interpersonal skills, including the capability to engage well with others and positively influence results » A strong knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi » Results driven and committed to excellence About us – Ko wai hoki Whakarongorau Aotearoa are privileged to provide the people of Aotearoa New Zealand with professional, quality advice, support and information across a range of health and mental health services including the COVID-19 Healthline.
