If you have a strong background in election campaign marketing, insight-driven campaigns and managing complex projects - but are looking for a shift to a function where you can make a real difference – this could be the job for you. You will report to the Head of Environment & Core Services Marketing and will be fully dedicated to and embedded in the elections programme team. You will develop the marketing and communications strategy for the 2022 elections, guided by the elections programme strategic objectives and located on reviewing and improving the campaign and collateral from the 2019 election. The communications strategy will focus both on candidate and voter campaigns. You will ensure Council delivers a fit for purpose marketing and communication plan that mobilises the diverse communities of Auckland to participate in the elections i.e. enrol, stand and vote. You utilise most effective channels and spend and that brand attribution is reinforced through all marketing and communications collateral. He k?rero m?u: About you Tertiary qualified, you will bring significant proven practice in design and delivery of effective marketing strategies and campaigns in a large multidisciplinary and complex organisation. With strong people leadership abilities skills, you will be technically marketing savvy and bring strong critical thinking and smart objectives to deal with complex problems.Along with your strong business and financial acumen, and systems thinking, you will also be a politically savvy and a strong influencer. Your capabilityto build trust and strong partnerships and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, often with different agendas, will set you in good stead. You will have a strong knowledge of our M?ori Responsiveness framework and Te Tiriti obligations in order to help drive the division's M?ori Responsiveness Plan and continue to build capcapability and confidence across the division.
