The M?ori, Partnerships and Programmes team focuses on building strong and resilient wh?nau, hap?, iwi and communities utilising a range of avoidance, community and social development approaches which lead to sustainable and long term results.
Te ?huatunga a te t?ranga/About the function
We are seeking for two high energy Project Managers to provide leadership abilities, coordination and support to our projects. You will play a pivotal function in supporting the Kaupapa Inquiry mahi as well as providing awhi and tautoko to the wider M?ori Partnerships and Programmes team.
These functions work closely with organisational wide project and business managers to deliver results by providing a mix of operational support as well as building internal and external relationships.
He p?kenga tou/expertise and practice
Our ideal candidates will have:
o Proven practice in leading and managing projects within the public service arena
o Knowledge and practice in working with iwi and M?ori
o Established relationships within the Ministry of Social Development (MSD)
o Proven practice in the initiation, development and implementation of complex projects
o Proven organisational and time management expertise - flexible and pragmatic with the capability to plan and resolve situations in an environment of change
o Strong knowledge of te Ao M?ori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
o Proven practice in writing and delivering concise complex information
o An knowledge of Tikanga / Kawa M?ori
o capability to understand and use te reo M?ori preferred
Also, key to your success will be your capability to work with divergent kaupapa within a te Ao M?ori context. Excellent interpersonal expertise and the capability to guide wh?nau is essential.
