Job Offer: Kitchenhand:Job description:KitchenhandPayment: Paid Position ($25)Job location: Queenstown Region: Otago/Queenstown/Wanaka practice: No practice Necessary Contact: [email protected] Listing Added: 07/12/2022 Employer : Mercure Queenstown Resort KITCHENHAND (2 POSITIONS) · $25 per hour · Minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed About the function As Kitchenhand you will assist the kitchen brigade in ensuring that all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, that food and beverage outlets are provided with clean and sanitised operating equipment and that food-handling techniques are in line with current Health and Hygiene regulations. You will be responsible for: · Assist in the preparation of food as directed by the Head Chef or managery team. · Ensure that all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards. · Ensure that the kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health and Hygiene regulations. · Count, sort and prepare operating equipment as required. · Ensure the correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturers instructions. · Ensure that all operating equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware are hygienically and safely stored. · Ensure waste is removed from kitchens on a regular basis and that Information technology is recycled appropriately. · Actively support and participate in safe work practices following health and safety, rehabilitation, environment and smoke-free policies and procedures in the workplace.
