It’s important that you have an knowledge and consciousness of the Treaty of Waitangi and understand the function of the Ministry and health sector in reducing health disparities and improving health results for M?ori. To be prosperous, you will have exceptional relationship expertise to build and maintain effective professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude to really make a difference in supporting the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders.’ The income range for this function is $117,363 to $156,483 and will be appointed in alignment with expertise and practice. You will be someone who has the following: » Demonstrated practice in developing and maintaining effective professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders » capability to think critically, assimilate complex and often competing ideas logically, and write or articulate these clearly, concisely and conveniently » Excellent written and oral communication expertise including the capability to communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles » Demonstrated practice in coaching and mentoring staff » Significant practice of leading projects or programmes of work » A commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi and working in partnership with M?ori » Significant practice and knowledge of the machinery of Government; and practice in the core government sector M? t? m?tou r?p? – About our team The National Bowel Screening Programme team are passionate about improving equitable results and reducing cancer diagnosis and mortality in Aotearoa New Zealand. The NBSP team are responsible for the planning , delivery and oversight of the National Bowel Screening Programme as part of the National Screening Unit. The Ministry of Health/Manat? Hauora is the kaitiaki of the health and discapability system in Aotearoa New Zealand.We are responsible for providing active stewardship and leadership abilities across thenationshealth and discapability system.
