Mr and Mrs Twitarenasty andloveplaying tricks on each other. The things they get up to are a sight to behold! Would you likeaglass eyeballin your drink? How about some worms in yourspaghetti? Who doesn't like aslimyfrog in theirbed? Andwould you believe how they make their favouritetreat, Wednesday Bird Pie?.it's a stickyidea. Their antics will have the audience gasping in amusement and giggling along. But when Mr Twit turns his nasty attentions to creating the World's First Upside-Down Monkey Circus with Muggle-Wump the monkey,things get turned upside down and the Twits get a dose of their own nasty ways. Producer: Tim Bray Theatre Company, administered by The Operating Theatre Trust. Director: Tim Bray, QSM 6 actors required - 4 actors for the show plus 2 alternate cast members (understudies) who will perform in at least one show for each alternate function. The alternate cast members will be close to the production through the entire season filling the functions of Audience Host (who is a liaison to school groups and the public) and makes a brief welcome to the audience) and Head Usher. As well as learning two performance functions, both also lgain the Stage Manager tasks as a backup . Period required: 10 weeks Monday 6 September - Saturday 13 November 2021 functionS Mr Twit: Comedic expertise required. Larger than life character who loves playing tricks on his wife. Physical performer. Able to sing. Beard or costume beard to be worn. Mrs Twit / Bird puppeteer: Comedic expertise required. Also, puppetry practice would be good. Larger than life character who loves playing tricks on her husband. Physical performer. Able to sing. Gas Meter Reader / Roly Poly Bird: Comedic expertise required. Looking for energetic and larger than life performer. Involves some puppetry. Able to sing. Muggle-Wump the monkey: Very physical function. Dancer or acrobat. Able to do handstands, walk on their hands and preferably cartwheel and cartwheel with no hands. Able to sing. Face makeup required (training given).
