The opportunity awaits?
The Enviroschools programme takes a holistic approach to the development of resilient and sustainable communities. Information technology is an action-located programme where ng? akonga (learners) are empowered to connect with and explore their environment, and then to take action in collaboration with their communities.
We are seeking for a Kaitaia located contractor to support our Enviroschools programme for 16 hours a week.
   » By joining the Enviroschools team, you'll have the opportunity to be part of a national network supporting over 1300 schools
   » You'll have the opportunity to guide, motivate and advise teachers on their journey towards creating a sustainable school community and help plan and deliver professional development and Enviroschools reflection events.
Do you have what Information technology takes?
We are seeking for someone who has:
   » practice with the New Zealand Curriculum in primary or intermediate school settings
   » An knowledge of Te Ao M?ori me ?na tikanga and can use te reo M?ori in everyday settings
   » practice with a holistic approach to environmental education for sustaincapability, including action-located learning, genuine student participation and an knowledge of matauranga M?ori
   » An inclusive style of working that is empowering and brings people together
   » Self-motivation and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
