Stainless Steel FabricatorLocation All WellingtonWellington Job type Permanent Salary to Category Engineering > Structural » Wellington Based » Wellington » Steel Erector We are looking for a reliable and experienced Steel Erector to be able to work within a team to erect steel from supplied shop drawings. Experience in directing cranes and use of elevated work platforms (Scissor Lifts and Knuckle Booms) would be considered an advantage to your application and package. This role tends to be very rewarding and fulfilling after a project is completed, when looking at a bulding that people use each day and knowing you had a vital role in putting it up. THE ROLE » Erecting steel structures » Slinging and calculating regular loads » Reading plans and drawings to assemble heavy steelwork » Working with cranes » Guiding and lifting components into position with tower cranes » Problem solving to correctly assemble the heavy steel beams » Performing alterations to panels and steel beams when necessary ABOUT YOU » Confidence working at heights » 1-2 years experience » Physically fit » High understanding of health and stafey » Good communication skills » Be able to clearly understand and follow instructions "As one of the world's largest employers, we believe in talent not labels, and focus on the diverse and unique skills our people bring.
